21.10.2016

Anne Gry and Herman Ranchil come from Hvasser, Norway, but have lived in Thailand the last years.

Herman has initiated several activities for fundraising and has also helped out in several KAFK events. For KAFK’s Christmas Bazaars in Thailand he has made Christmas decorations, baked and sold lottery tickets. Together with his friend Joel, he has also sold stickers and Halloween bracelets to raise funds. At home in Norway he has invited his friends to produce homemade bracelets, and they have set up a stand to sell bracelets, gold-tattoos and popcorn at the Pier Bazaar in Sandesund at Hvasser.

Herman says: “I am happy to be able to help others that really need it.”

Anne Gry has been very active in running the KAFK Christmas Bazaars in Bangkok, where she has organized crafts workshops for kids and adults, together with lotteries and silent auctions. She has also been a volunteer at a surgery mission.

Anne Gry tells: “I was very touched by the poverty and standard of living, and especially by how grateful the parents at the mission was for the help they were getting for their kids.”
